The CHR disclosed to the public that the following conditions to exist in and about the above noted food establishment which are or may become injurious or dangerous to the public health or which might hinder the prevention or suppression of disease, namely:

 

a. Unsafe handling of lamb and chicken shawarma. Specifically, food handler sliced chicken and lamb from a partially cooked portion of chicken. The sliced portion was not further heated after being shaved off of the spit.

 

b. High risk foods, including lamb shawarma meat and rice, are being kept at temperatures of below 60 degrees Celsius.

.

c. Foods stored in coolers are not being properly protected and are at risk for contamination from various sources.

 

d. Condensation from the newly installed walk-in cooler was dripping from the fan and onto the food below.

 

e. The establishment is not being kept clean or in good repair and food preparation surfaces are not being properly cleaned or sanitised.

 

f. The front door to the restaurant is consistently being left open, allowing flies and other pests to enter.
