Dirty Talk - Public Health Violations
Chicago Deep Dish Pizza

The Food Establishment located in Calgary, Alberta and municipally described as:
Chicago Deep Dish Pizza
6825 26 Avenue NE
Calgary, Alberta

 

WHEREAS I, an Executive Officer of the Calgary Health Region, have inspected the above noted Food Establishment pursuant to the provisions of the Public Health Act, RSA 2000, c. P-37, as amended;

 

AND WHEREAS such inspection disclosed that the following conditions exist in and about the above noted food establishment which are or may become injurious or dangerous to the public health or which might hinder the prevention or suppression of disease, namely:

 

a.

There were numerous mouse droppings noted throughout the facility,

 

b.

There were numerous ants noted in the back storage room,

 

c.

There were open foods stored in non-pest proof containers without tight fitting lids,

 

d.

There were empty soap dispensers noted at the kitchen, staff and public washroom hand sinks,

 

e.

The floors and shelves were dirty in hard to reach areas,

 

f.

There was dirty cardboard used to line the shelving unit and pizza prep cooler,

 

g.

There was no written cleaning/sanitizing schedule in place,

 

h.

There were no written records of pest control measures in place,

 

i.

The owner/manager does not have approved food safety training,

 

j.

The spray bottle for the sanitizing solution contained bleach at full strength. No test strips were on site for testing the concentration of the solution,

 

k.

The surface of the food prep table was not smooth and easily cleanable.
