Edgemont is the largest community in Calgary.  There are over 17,000 people residing there. Edgemont was established in 1978 and is located in NW Calgary.  It can be accessed North Country Hills Blvd, Shaganappi Trail and John Laurie Blvd.  There is a mix on single family homes and condos in Edgemont.  Due to Edgemont’s elevation you can expect to get some exceptional views of Calgary and the mountains.

Edgemont has a community association that offers tons of recreational pastimes such as, tennis, ice skating,  soccer, softball, baseball.  They offer scouts and guides.  Also Kung Fu, grassroots hockey, activities for seniors, gymnastics, teen workshops, child daycare.  They also offer summer camps taking day trips to Calgary parks and recreation.  So lots an lots going on.

Edgemont is the location of the junior high school that is recognized as one of the best in Calgary, Tom Baines.   Many people move to Edgemont so that their children can attend and be in close proximity to Tom Baines school.
